Why Choose A Pop Up Camper

Posted on January 28, 2020March 19, 2023 by Matt Zimmerman

Six reasons a pop camper might be the right camper for you.

Affordability

A pop up camper is a step up from camping in a tent. A pop up camper is more affordable than a fully contained camper or RV. You could get a slightly used camper in great condition for a $1000 to a few thousand dollars. Or, you can get a fixer upper camper for just a few hundred.

Options

Pop up campers come in multiple configurations to meet your needs. If you think you need it, you can get a pop up camper with it. Pop up campers can be found with heaters and AC units. Some have stoves that can be used inside and outside of the pop up. Although more rare, a pop up camper can even have a bathroom with a shower.

Sleeping Arrangements

There are multiple sleeping options in a pop up camper. At a bare minimum, there is sleeping for 4. There is sleeping for two people per slide out. Some pop up campers’ tables and chairs fold down to make another sleeping area.

Portability

A pop up camper is east to tow. They are light weight and can be pulled by a small truck or SUV. This is helpful when you are just starting out learning to tow. Being light-weight will save you money in fuel costs and be more environmentally friendly.

Storage

Pop ups are easier to find somewhere to store due to their smaller size. If you are not allowed to park a camper on your property due to laws, you can park some of them in your garage.

Hi there. The roof looks great…I take it the roof was made of fiberglass. So are you able to apply the roof paint directly onto that material after cleaning..is that correct..?

Thanks. The roof is not a fiberglass one. It is made out of thin aluminum. Eventually I want to rebuild it and use poor mans fiberglass.
